Night of the horror – KASK Cinema (2024)

KASK cinema’s annual night of horror had this year’s theme: infestation. Together with performer Jan Marcoen, we created a two-part performance between films – the emergence of a slimy larva through a cocoon to a lively and furry moth.

Sterke man – CIRQ (recurrent)

Occasionally we let our Strong Man outside, although never without the supervision of the animal trainer. Safely in a cage, he works out his training schedule, and occasionally he is allowed outside to pull a long line of carts with yelling children.

Safari – CIRQ (recurrent)

Homo socialis, homo drunkis, homo longhairis,…
2 experienced rangers will take you on a tour through the habitat of the species they discovered at your festival. Visit the drinking place of these special animals, observe their mating behaviour and study peculiar social habits. The trip is instructive for young and old.

Museumnight Gent – TRANS (2019)

At the Museum Night afterparty, people enter Café Charlatan and see a bed in the middle of the room. Someone is frantically trying to sleep while loud dark techno is playing. The audience dances on. Occasionally someone joins in. “Sleep on, I understand you completely”.

Shifting Time – TRANS

Shifting Time is een perfromance door collectief TRANS die de mensen wilt doen stilstaan. Letterlijk. Durven ze een stok aan te nemen van iemand die hen dat aanreikt? Is dit deel van de performance? Kijken ze naar boven, zien ze dat de stok een potje water tegen het plafond houdt. Hoelang zouden ze daar moeten staan? Moeten ze de stok zelf doorgeven? Wie is performer en wie is publiek?

Batastunt – CirQ

Gentse feesten – zomer 2019. Publiek komt naar de Willem de Beersteeg voor gratuite animatie en stunts door collectief CirQ. Ondertussen worden ze zelf door de scheidsrechters uitgedaagd. Of ze 100 wasknijpers op hun hoofd komen plaatsen? Kom maar op het podium als je wilt!
